  • Creative Writing Tip: Keep a dream journal. You never know when a crazy dream will turn into inspiration.
  • Fun Fact: Cambodians greet each other by pressing their palms together in front of their bodies and bowing. This is called a Sompeah, with the younger or lower ranked person normally initiating the gesture.
  • Write On! Initiatives: Last year we published a book with our National winning entries, gave books to the schools of the winners, and each student who participated received a certificate. We also had a winner’s weekend for the two oldest winners to meet with current Khmer writers to learn how to turn their writing into a job.
